• College certificate of Education in Art Production and in Life Drawing
• Tafe Tasmania diploma of Art Craft and Design specialising in printmaking.

Inspiration, creative practice

After seeing a geologist’s amazing natural mineral collection, I was allowed to photograph them to use the colourful images in my work. My preference (Realism) goes out to still lifes of plants and animals, I am very passionate in printmaking, mainly Lino Cuts. Pastels are another favourite – the blending and moulding of the medium is unique.

My work starts from a basic idea coming from photos taken in my surrounds, the idea then develops as I go along capturing the lines and curves of nature.
