Inspiration, creative practice

My background is in Graphic Art, lithography, teaching, history and sociology. After a move to Tasmania in 2006, I had the opportunity to rediscover my love for art and design. What I have found over time is that painting demands the exploration of ideas, techniques and continuous experimentation, and perhaps most importantly, freedom of expression. As an individual, painting is often where I become a child again, in my own time, in my own place, using all the colours on my palette to create my own art.
