Inspiration, creative practice
My inspiration comes from the colours, patterns and textures in nature. These designs are based on my abstract photographs of botanical details captured around various gardens. Features such as veins, shadows and textured surfaces, when magnified, reveal a vast array of patterns that provide the source for these designs. Drawing on my skills as a graphic designer and a photographer, I have created unique designs that I produce as limited edition mounted and framed artworks, as well as gift cards.
